Maine Outcast Campout

  • Evans Notch Lodge 20 Wild River Rd Gilead, ME (map)

If you never pictured yourself fishing, reconsider.

Outcast Anglers are those who don’t match the archetype, who want to find belonging in community, and deepen their ties to the water.

Join us at Evans Notch Lodge for a weekend of outdoor adventures around Grafton Notch, Rangeley, and backwoods ponds throughout western Maine.

Expect evening social time by the fire at our home base: Evans Notch Lodge

Outcast Campouts are financially flexible group events with a choose your own adventure approach to fishing. Buddy up with fellow campers, hire a guide, take a day hike, or take a nap under a cedar — all are welcome here. Evening social + educational time will keep you learning from one another and sharing fishing stories around the campfire. We’ll hear from experts + community members on the regional heritage + complicated history of local fly fishing, conservation, entomology, decolonized considerations for the spaces we visit, and more.
